Fellow #rhododendron experts, Identification please!!!!!. This rhodo was on the species bench and has finally flowered. The species name didn’t match so thinking it’s probably a hybrid. Join us on 16th November for a tour of two stunning plant collections at:

* 10am 'Heywood House' - Virginia Heywood, of @3crgardeningshow fame, has kindly opened her lovely garden. We will have a guided walk around this stunning garden, where we will have a BBQ for lunch.

* 1.30pm, Bogle arboretum - the horticultural wonder that is the legacy of the amazing Geoff Bogle. The photos of Geoff's arboretum are from @teesedon, who, along with John O'Hara, our VP, have a true passion for the future preservation of the property.

Well-known and much loved member of both the ARSV and FCHS Ian Wallace was unstoppable, winning so many prizes at the FCHS Flower Festival over the weekend.

The actual colour of #yellow flowers can be difficult to capture on a phone. #rhododendron Lemon Lodge is a beautiful full flowering lemon NZ hybrid, looking white in the picture. The mid yellow is R Sunny Day hybrid and for reference #rhododendron luteum which is a bright scented deciduous azalea.
