PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Our 50th anniversary conference is coming up in just over 5 months. Our keynote speaker is Ken Cox from Scotland and in this regard I would like to mention that the ARS National Council is providing up to $7,500 of funding to support Ken’s visit of which $4,000 has already been spent in airfares. The Victorian branch is very grateful for this support. Planning for the conference is now well advanced and it should be a great event. I would encourage everyone reading this report to seriously consider attending.

I would also like to mention that Parks Victoria has been very supportive of our conference. They have offered us material for distribution to attendees at no charge, they will be keeping the Ricketts sanctuary open later to accommodate a visit from attendees and some Parks employees will be attending.
